One of the greatest questions almost all of us get asked at least once in our life is “what is your favourite film?”. It is such a hard question to answer, and it is one I often think is impossible to answer. I decided today to make a list of 15 of the greatest films ever, and this list could easily be so much longer, but I decided to save the rest for another day. So for now, here is my list on what I consider to be 15 of the greatest films ever made:
1. Fight Club (1999)
2. Se7en (1995)
3. Reservoir Dogs (1992)
4. Inception (2010)
5. The Godfather (1972)
6. The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
7. Good Will Hunting (1997)
8. Saving Private Ryan (1998)
9. 12 Angry Men (1957)
10. Pulp Fiction (1994)
11. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (2001-2003)
12. Forrest Gump (1994)
13. Schindler’s List (1993)
14. The Green Mile (1999)
15. 12 Years a Slave (2013)
Many people will probably disagree with my list, but these are simply what I believe to be some of the greatest films ever. If you find yourself bored or without anything to do, then I would recommend that you watch all or at least some of these films if you have the time.
Let us know what your favourite films are and we may include them on another list in the future.
Good list! Shawshank and Schindler’s list are on mine, too. I’d have to add: Amadeus, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, The Usual Suspects, Lone Survivor, American Sniper, Dunkirk…
Thank you! I love all of those films as well, but I haven’t seen Amadeus, I’ll have to give that a watch.
Amadeus was a best-picture winner along with 7 other Academy Awards in 1985. Would be interested in how you like it. Cheers!
Great list. Saw all but 2. Thank you. Beings back memories.
Thank you!
